I will tell you the summary of youth day. Of what I picked up, is that they are telling you how to keep safe when someone is pushing you to do something, or some drunkies want to pick a fight for no reason what so ever. Carly came in to show us Karate. And that it's not about being able to punch someone, it's about staying calm and backing off if someone is threatening you or wanting pick a fight. Sure, she showed us all these harmful weapons, but they don't hurt people with them. Apparently she absolutely loves using them for fun. She also explained that you can't go buy some weapons if you have no training at all, it takes a long time to have the ability to use them, and that you'll probably end up hurting yourself with them anyway. Carly's spoke a lot about being dedicated. She did a little act about her friend and herself, the friend said, 'wanna hang out tonight?' Carly replied, 'no, I can't, I've got karate tonight.' She said that you can't just do karate when it suits you, you won't go far with it otherwise. I wasn't here for the cancer society talk. But Miss Fryer talked a bit about it afterwards. Look after your body, don't make stupid decisions, it's your choice, keep yourself safe, ex: Don't go down an alleyway at night. It's always your decision.
